In each edition, I pick out a few of the jobs that are added to Community Club Job Board between issues.
Find 30+ open, remote community roles with salary range on the Job Board.
# Employees: 500-1,000
Location: Remote - US
Salary: $73,000/yr - $195,000/yr
Expertise desired:
Hosting online and in-person events.
Public speaking and content creation.
Working with or leading a technical community
đźš© That salary range! Better than not having a range, & higher end is great for 3+ years experience, but there should be a law against have a range where the max is almost 3x the minimum. I let them know how I feel but no response yet
🚩 They use iCIMS, one of the absolute worst enterprise Applicant Tracking Systems. You’re going to have to create an account with a password and answer a lot of irrelevant questions. Disappointing from a tech company.
âś… Clear, concise overview of the Campus Experts program that this position will oversee. The program & role seem well defined.
✅ “3+ years of experience in community management and hosting online and in-person events.” That’s a realistic requirement for an IC role like this. I know a lot of people with ~3 years who would amazing at this role. Have seen plenty of roles that would list a much higher number for no good reason.
# Employees: 11-50
Location: Remote, anyone within 1 hour of US time zones
Salary: $150k-$180k/year
Expertise desired:
Ability to “activate” the supply side of a marketplace (class instructors in this case)
Account management including VIP relationships
General foundation of marketing, content, analytics & community. Don’t need to be an expert, but good enough to be effective & think holistically.
âś… Great opportunity to work at a fairly well know tech company that has less than 50 employees.
✅ Even though “Community Growth (Retention)” isn’t the most elegant job title, the role & expected outcomes are as clear as can be. “The measures of your success will be retention of target instructors, the earnings growth of the Maven course catalog, and the NPS of the Maven instructor experience.”
🚩 Small detail but including “Experience building engaged product communities (example: Notion, Figma)” as a “nice to have” is a bit confusing and feels like an afterthought. I would guess they mean that type of experience would be relevant, but I’d guess not nearly as nice to have as experience working at a marketplace company on the “supply” side. Not a big deal in a generally well-crafted job description.
# Employees: 1-10
Location: Remote, worldwide
Salary: $50k-$65k/year
Expertise desired:
Event planning & execution for both virtual & IRL
Ability to create continuous volume of topics, challenges, sessions, updates, copy etc that fit brand voice & resonate with brand’s audience
Ability to implement & test new marketing approaches across a variety of platforms
âś… They appear to have avid fans and customers who are excited to connect with others and spread the word. This will make your job easier & likely more rewarding.
âś… Specific details on programs and even tools (ie Geneva)

🚩 The salary range is bit on the lower end, even for only 2yrs experience. Although for an early stage company with ~10 people in the D2C space, it’s not an uncommon range. The role appears to be remote anywhere, so the salary fit may depend on market. Unclear if there’s equity component to the package.
To get a free (mostly) automated resume review on Wellfound (formerly Angel list), follow this guide on uploading your resume.
Keep in. mind that this free review is designed to market Wellfound’s career coaching services. It will be overly critical for most people (they’re not going to sell many coaching packages if they tell everyone their resumes are perfect).
I have no idea if their coaching services are good, and the review should be taken with lots of salt, but it’s absolutely worth the minimal effort.
If you don’t already have an account, you’ll need to create one. Then you just upload a pdf of your resume and you’ll get an email with a link to the review.
The review is especially useful to get a better sense of how automated ATS systems might view your resume.

I wouldn’t overhaul my resume because of the feedback, but it’s a useful tool.
Job Searching During Holiday Season
When I was unemployed and job searching a few years ago, holiday time felt especially tough. It was hard to feel joyous or thankful with the stress of the job search grind. Finances were stretched thin, and I felt ashamed. The last thing I wanted to do was deal with casual questions & well intentioned but unhelpful advice from friends & family. It’s perfectly normal to feel this way. Holidays can be hard for all sorts of reasons.
In terms of navigating the job market during holidays, contrary to popular belief, the holiday season can be a good time to search for a job. While overall hiring volume drops, employers still hire during this time, and there may be fewer competing applicants. When I was working as a recruiter, the last few weeks of the year were my busiest time.
You can also use this time to make new connections and reconnect with existing ones. Network with hiring managers before companies become more active in hiring in the new year.

A couple more community members were kind enough to share their resumes. I changed the names, companies, and anything else personal, but hopefully these can help as you craft yours.
